Currently, I am typing this during a stink of a 12-hour car ride to York, Nebraska. My older brother is graduating from college there, and thus we (my mom, step dad and myself) are making the journey to see him graduate.
Normally I do not like long car rides…. to be honest, I quite hate them. I find sitting, with no chance of spreading out… very stifling. This trip, however, has not been too bad. (Especially when you include naps).
Currently, My Mom and Step Dad are fighting. In a very humorous way. My mom wants to finish a Sue Grafton book she has on tape, and in protest, my step dad is rolling the window up and down. I find this exchange very entertaining.
We just past mile marker 115, on highway i25, going through Colorado. I spent many summers in Colorado Springs during my childhood. However, I have never ventured further in. Today, we are stopping for a short time in Denver. Which I have to say I am very excited for. I have never been. In NM it seems to me Denver, Co is always talked about as a place where you go to make dreams come true. It has the best jobs, colleges, so on. (That being said, I think there are few cities that have this type of allure).

We have switched the Audiobook, and are now enjoying the readings of “The Funhouse” by Dean Koontz. It’s a horror/ mystery about a circus and a monstrous baby. (Fingers crossed, this book doesn’t give me nightmares!)
One thing I really adore about Colorado is the mountains. Sprinkled with a bit of snow, and so inviting. Goodness one day, I would like to live in Colorado for a time.

The line from Audiobook “stern, somber, suffocation.” – Goodness what a line ! (Okay, this one is going to be intense)

We have just hit Denver. & Thankfully we are taking a break from the audio book… I’m getting the heavy-gees!
