A Weekend Away at the Silver City Blues Festival

Every now and then, I get an urge to flee my city and explore somewhere new. My newest escape took place in Silver City, New Mexico to attend the annual Blues Festival. Which includes cute shopping, good food, fun music and sun for days.

This was my third time going to Silver City. && I have to say I find the entire city adorable! Everything is a more relaxed once you roll past the welcome sign. Speed limits slow down and you can walk everywhere.

I find the friendly nature (literally everyone here is so sweet!) of the city, combined with the outdoor loveliness down right therapeutic. There are so many hiking, biking even lake activities just outside of town, it’s impossible to stay inside!
