SoChoix Monthly Box Review

Omgoodness…! I have collaborated with SoChoix! (excitedly jumping up & down). SoChoix is not your average makeup subscription box.

SoChoix was kind enough to let me play around on their site and send me a box to try (tiny excited scream). Now, of course, I had to try some things for a full face makeup look (#makeupproblem lol).

Now ! The products that I had to try where :

YSL “Rouge Volupte” Radiant Lipstick in Caress Pink – OMG, LOVE LOVE LOVE ! This lipstick was so amazingly creamy && such staying power! Be forewarned that there will be some YSL reviews on the way, cause I NEED some of these lipsticks in my life.

D&G “the Blush” Cheek Colour in Delight 35 – Lovely. Very pigmented and long wearing. This color also had a light shimmer which gave a lovely sun kissed summer pink shine.

Tom Ford Traceless Stick foundation Ivory T F – YASS. Out of all the products I sampled. This one was by far the one that caught my attention. The application was dreamy! overall coverage was medium to full && it lasted all day! (which is saying something in my desert climate)

Kevyn Aucoin Cream Highlighter in Halo- I wasn’t in love with this product. But I am not often in love with cream highlighters. That being said, the color was lovely! Very iridescent. This product would make an excellent top off to a subtle blush or even add to the lips for a pop of shimmer.

Bobbi Brown Serum concealer Cool Sand BB- This concealer is such an interesting product. When applied, it evened out my skin tone && texture, however when looking into the mirror it didn’t appear to truly “cover” my under eye area. That being said, If you watch my first reactions video, you’ll see that there was a definitely diminishing of my sleepy eyes. Hmm…I might need to play with this one more ! (Definitely interesting)

All of these items are ones that I have been wanting to give-a-go BUT sometimes I am wary of trying high-end makeup for fear of wasting money on an item that won’t work. (Cause let’s be honest when makeup doesn’t work out, you don’t return it, you stick it in a drawer, box, trash can and try the next thing).

With SoChoix you are sent samples taken from the full sized makeup items you crave, thus giving you a genuine idea of how the makeup will match your skin texture, color and more. Each sample ranges from 0.3 to 0.5 grams. (More than enough for a true “sample” wear of the makeup – if not more).

I really enjoyed playing with all the items SoChoix  was kind enough to send me. What I love about this subscription box, is that you get to choose what you want to try. This eliminates the “hoping” that you get something that you will like from your subscription boxes. && guarantees you actually get a sample of a product you want to try (Now that’s what I’m talking about)! Cause really who has the funds or time to waste on products your not going to love.
